Craftsman Chop Company Bids Farewell After Two Decades Of Service

Unfortunate news has arisen out of Portage, as after 20 years, the family that owns the Craftsman Chop Company in Portage near Crossroads Mall has announced that they will be closing.

This comes as a shock as the company also announced that they would be closing East Egg, which they also own and sits next door to the Craftsman Chop Company.

In an emotional goodbye, they posted on their Facebook about their thoughts of closing after 20 years.

Hi All, this is your faithful social media poster, Molly, signing in with one final message. After almost 20 years, the Craftsman and East Egg are closing their doors. If you’ve dined with us, drank with us, laughed with us, or cried with us in the last 20 years, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

As they continued, the connection they feel to individuals is very strong and personal to them:

Craig, Katie, Alicia, the rest of the crew, and I, have so many of you in our minds as we cross this path, and we wish we could reach out to all of you individually. You have made the Craftsman and the East Egg truly something special.
