Detroit Stuntwoman Sara Holden Brings Action To Horror Film River
A professional stuntwoman who graduated from Western Michigan University is in a highly anticipated new horror movie that comes out on January 15.
Actress Sara Holden, born and raised in Detroit, began her career as an actor before discovering her true passion: stunt work and producing in Hollywood.
But before that, she was a women’s rugby player at Western Michigan University for three years and eventually started to pursue her passion for acting. After spending a few years in Chicago at Second City, she began her career. Eventually, she made her way into Hollywood movies and television series such as Chicago P.D., Oz the Great and Powerful, Hunters, and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
She has more than 120 roles to her name, and her upcoming role will serve as the stunt double for Jane Levy in the upcoming horror film, which is out January 15. She recently took to Facebook to express her excitement about the upcoming project.
Official trailer of River! Out January 15th!! This was such a fun one to work on. Thank you, Rick Fike and Jane Levy, for trusting me with your stunts and being the absolute best teammates on set!
The moment I saw the trailer for this movie, I was curious if any Michigan actors would be starring in this, so it's cool to know Sara landed a spot on the stunt cast.
Sara has done not only Hollywood films but also her own acting, serving as her own stunt double in an online film she made called #MomLife, which you can watch here.
