Michigan Woman Suffers Seizure After Swallowing 4 Bags of Heroin
A Monroe woman could’ve been left dead after a scary situation involving her and overdosing on drugs on March 8. Recently, Monroe police officers made a traffic stop on Smith Street when the 30-year-old woman and her 45-year-old male friend both had outstanding warrants with the Monroe County Sheriff's office.
During the arrest, officers also found two bags of suspected crack cocaine in the woman’s possession, along with a scale, which also had cocaine residue on it. But that’s when things took a turn for almost the worst.
As the Monroe Public Safety Department in the City of Monroe, Michigan elaborated, this woman was apparently desperate to also not get rung up for heroin. Unfortunately for her, this could have been fatal.
Prior to transport, the female began to experience a seizure and became unresponsive for a brief period. Officers administered Narcan, and she subsequently regained consciousness in the backseat of the patrol car. Monroe Fire and MCA responded to the scene, and she was transported to an area hospital.
The reason she began to have seizures was incredible shocking:
At the hospital, she claimed to have ingested four baggies of heroin just before being medically cleared and released to be taken to the Monroe County Jail.
Luckily, after they discovered she had taken this, she was evaluated by a medical staff and deemed safe to continue with the jailing process.
No matter where you are in life, it's never too late to reach out for help so you don't find yourself in a place where you're having to swallow bags of Mr. Brownstone to save yourself...from going to jail.
