Being a little absent minded isn't a crime... usually. For one man in Michigan, though, it absolutely was, and he was caught doing the ONE THING he wasn't supposed to be doing while joining a court hearing for the VERY THING he was doing on the call when he joined.

The reaction from the judge as he logged in was priceless, though, and it's the latest in a string of incredible stories of virtual court hearings in Michigan.

Corey Harris was due in virtual court recently to discuss his suspended license.

Judge Cedric Simpson was to preside, and when he logged into the zoom call to discuss the charges, he was SHOCKED to notice that Harris, who was already charged with driving on a suspended license, had joined the meeting WHILE DRIVING!!

Immediately, the first words out of the judge's mouth...

"Mr. Harris, are you driving?"

Harris tried to play it off like he was pulling into his doctor's office like he might get some sympathy out of the judge, but he wasn't having it.

"So maybe I don't understand something, this is for driving while license is suspended"

Judge Simpson asked the court clerk, who confirmed that yes, this case was for Harris' suspended license. He then spoke to everyone in the court room like Harris wasn't even still on the line.

"I don't even know why he would do that."

Once the shock wore off of Judge Simpson's face, he revoked Mr. Harris' bond, and ordered him to turn himself into the County jail by 6 p.m. that day, otherwise a bench warrant would be issued with no bond.

But aside from the judge's initial reaction of shock, the best part was Mr. Harris' reaction, once he realized what a dumb thing he'd just done... tossing his head back, and quietly whispering... "oh my god."

That's a lesson for everyone out there... if you have a virtual court date, DO NOTHING! BE NOWHERE! White background, plain shirt, and don't do something stupid... like Mr. Harris did.
