Despite The Beautiful Weather, Michigan Has More Snow On The Way
I have been in a particularly great mood the last week or so because the weather has completely shifted for the better, and it truly feels like spring is finally here in Michigan, which, as of today, is officially eight days away.
The current forecast is calling for temperatures in the 60s and possibly getting up to 70° by the weekend, which means that the heavy winter coats, for the most part, will no longer be necessary. Unfortunately, as you know, Michigan kind of has a mind of its own when it comes to weather, and we never really quite know how the Great Lakes are going to affect the weather patterns that hit us on the west side of the state.
After all, we are technically still in winter, so the fact that Michigan now has to prepare for more snow is kind of unfortunate. But with the announcement of more snow on the way, there is some good news and bad news.
The good news is that for everybody who’s been enjoying this beautiful, spring like weather in the Lower Peninsula, not much is set to change with our weather patterns as we are still expected to only drop down to 44 at the lowest with some rain during the weekend.
However, for the Upper Peninsula, it’s a different story as they are bracing themselves for another round of snow on Wednesday and Sunday. Temperatures are starting to rise a little bit in the upper peninsula, with temperatures reaching 61° on Friday.
But because they are still so far north, there will be a little snow to start the spring off for them.
