Data and zones are subject to change as the forecast period gets closer, but right now, heat index values could be topping out in the 90s to low 100s on Wednesday and especially on Thursday across parts of both peninsulas. These often very hot weather severe setups are when we get the damaging wind events, and long-range models are already beginning to hint at this storm mode.
How the rest of the week will turn out will have to be monitored, but it’s not out of the realm of impossibilities that daytime high temperatures will hit 90° halfway through the week, even without the heat index. Hopefully, the severe weather subsides, and we can enjoy some nice spring days ahead.
