Police Chief Won’t Rule Out Serial Killer In Lansing Houseless Deaths
Many people believe there is a serial killer in Lansing who is responsible for the deaths of five houseless people in the area, and the Internet has some ideas on who it might be.
The Lansing police chief himself, Robert Backus, hasn’t even been able to rule out the idea that there could be a serial killer. In the last year, there have been five deaths that stemmed from an attack; however, one of those deaths already resulted in an arrest.
The other four, however, are still mysteries that the police are trying to work through.
The Internet has already started claiming one man in particular could be someone of interest, solely based on the videos that he uploaded talking about it.

In the video he uploaded to his company Facebook page, Nomad’s Animal Encounter, in Oklahoma, it received over 6 million views, and because of his choice of where and when to record the video, it was giving serial killer vibes, which I think was the point.
He then responded with another video, which was shot even more sus, just to get people going.
I highly doubt a man who runs an animal reserve in Oklahoma is responsible for these murders, but at least he’s a good sport about the trolling.
When asked if there's a serial killer in Lansing, the Lansing Police Chief said:
We are looking at the idea, or possibility, that these may be related cases. We look for information, we look for patterns, and we have developed some. For example, we believe that all of our victims are members of our unhoused community. We suspect that in these instances, the injuries occur overnight, in the early morning hours. We believe that our victims in this case were lying down, potentially even sleeping.
