There’s been a lot of drama throughout the country this week with the announcement that there would be a freeze in federal money, which is normally distributed to those who are struggling, amongst other groups.

However, there are many people who are fighting back against this, and somehow still have money coming their way, regardless of what the government is trying to implement. This goes for people who should have received a stimulus check up to $1400 from the government, and you could have that money Waiting for you soon.

According to USA Today, the IRS announced last month that it would be showing out $2.4 billion, which comes to about $1400 per person worth of stimulus checks to US taxpayers who didn’t claim the recovery rebate credit on their 2021 tax return.

So how do you know if you are eligible for this round of IRS stimulus checks? The easiest way to check is to go to your 2021 tax return and look for the recovery rebate credit field.

If you left it blank or filled it out as zero then you should be receiving the stimulus check. Since the IRS has already begun to start issuing the checks, anybody who met the requirements is already automatically entered into their system to be able to receive the money.

So Indiana residents will want to make sure they check their 2021 tax return because a little bit of extra money can go a long way, especially in today’s economy. Good luck and spend it wisely.
