Tragic Discovery At Electric Forest Festival Sparks Investigation

Is it time that Electric Forest goes the way of Faster Horses, and gets canceled permanently?
Large festivals pose many great problems, and with the horrifying and tragic discovery of a deceased newborn baby in a portable toilet at Michigan’s Electric Forest event, the problems are starting to stack up for Electric Forest.

In 2018, 28-year-old Kevin Graves went missing, and his remains were only recently discovered in December 2024, roughly 100 yards from the campsite.

Now, over the weekend, a shocking discovery has led to an investigation after a newborn baby’s body was discovered in the festival's camping area by a restroom vendor employee.

Although there was little that the event organizers could do, many people have criticized the organizers for continuing the festival after the shocking discovery was made, with many people calling it flat-out murder.
A post on their Instagram in particular is being flooded with people sickened by the celebration of the event from the organizers, while mentioning nothing of the incident.
Faster Horses was another popular gathering for country music fans in Michigan; however, fatalities, carbon monoxide poisoning, fights, reported sexual assaults, and other issues led to the festival being shut down in 2025, and organizers confirmed it won’t return this year either.
I’m not going to pretend like I know what it takes to put on a music festival, but these are serious problems that need to be addressed, because Electric Forest is going to have a hard time coming back from this one if they don't manage the situation correctly.
