Books-A-Million Opens Third Michigan Location In Kalamazoo

You can never go wrong being surrounded by books as there is nothing but knowledge and great storytelling in your vicinity. Most people rely on the library to be their source of books when they need one while others prefer to own their books and be able to use and read them at their own pleasure and leisure. This created the need for bookstores which can be a very lucrative business.

Reading books can easily become one of the most expensive hobbies anybody could have. Believe it or not, but books can be extremely expensive to purchase depending on how many copies are available, how old the book is, the material used, its popularity, and more. Although they can be expensive, books can be great gifts and trips to the bookstore can be an amazing date idea.

Speaking of bookstores, Kalamazoo is about to see another bookstore open in the coming weeks. Books-A-Million announced that they would be opening their third location in the Mitten state and had chosen Kalamazoo to be the lucky community they grace with their presence next as they currently have locations in Beverly Hills and Traverse City.

The Alabama-based bookstore chain has more than 260 stores across the country, and bills itself as the “second largest book retailer in the nation.” The company says it got its start back in 1917 as a street corner newsstand in Florence, Alabama.

The Books-A-Million location in Kalamazoo will be located at 4404 Stadium Dr. near Drake Road and is coming soon according to the Books-A-Million website but there is no official date set yet.
