Winter's only just getting started.

That Green Christmas we just celebrated seems like only a distant memory as lately it's been nothing but snow and sub-zero temperatures across much of The Mitten. Be careful what you wish for!

Thanks to the latest round of Lake Effect snow plows across West Michigan have been working around the clock. Even the back roads still aren't completely clear thanks to multiple rounds of re-freezing ice and slush.

Michigan winter's sure likes to keep us on our toes! The least we can do is have a little fun with it.

Many state and local municipalities like to get public input when it comes to the naming of the snow plow fleets. Again, I don't know why we do it other than to get our creative juices flowing and have a little fun at winter's expense.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) shared some stellar snow plow names this year including "Saltasaurus Rex" and "Gordie Plow" and now the City of Battle Creek is following suit, this time asking for public input for their own fleet of snow plows.
